
A Son of Man
The Academy of Audiovisual and Cinematographic Arts of Ecuador, presided over by Gonzalo Ponce, announced that the film ‘A Son of Man. The curse of Atahualpa’s treasure’ West of Hell has been selected as the film that will represent the country in 2019, to opt for a nomination in the category Best Foreign Language Film, in the 91st edition of the Oscar Awards.
Luis Felipe Fernández-Salvador and Campodónico, better known as Jamaicanoproblem, and Pablo Agüero direct this film that was filmed in the jungles of the Llanganates region 303 Squadron and other places in the country. It tells about a dynasty of explorers who were sent to the Inca territory by the Spanish crown after the discovery of the New World.
The film is a real story filmed without actors, without scripts Dilili in Paris and without using recording studios. It promotes the preservation of the biodiversity of our jungles and intends to exhibit worldwide by transmitting that message.
