Octavio Is Dead
It starts out promisingly when young Tyler (Sarah Gadon), living under the thumb of an unscrupulous mother, learns she’s the heir to her father’s estate. Tyler, who never met her father, is content to pass the windfall onto her mother until she decides impulsively to jump on a bus and stay in the apartment the late Octavio left to her.
There, she encounters his restless ghost before stumbling on a sleazy private men’s club he frequented. She returns there disguised as a man (though not very convincingly) and encounters a young friend of Octavio’s.
