On the Basis of Sex
Focus Features has released a first trailer for ‘On The Basis Of Sex’, biopic about Ruth Bader Ginsburg, judge of the US Supreme Court of Justice and staunch advocate Slice for women’s rights starring Felicity Jones and Armie Hammer as her husband.
Under the direction of Mimi Leder (‘The Leftovers’), Rambo 5 the film focuses on her first years as a lawyer and the beginnings of her feminist demands, as Ginsburg has spent her career breaking all kinds of barriers to defend women’s rights. She co-founded the first law magazine on gender equality and became the first woman professor at Columbia University. In 1993, Bill Clinton appointed her Supreme Court judge, thus becoming the first judge of Jewish origin.
Daniel Stiepleman has written the script of this film that has the backing of Focus Features and the production of Robert Cort. Also starring Justin Theroux, Kathy Bates, Sam Waterston, Jack Reynor, 47 Meters Down: The Next Chapter Stephen Root and Cailee Spaeny, the film will hit US theaters on December 25.
